Luis Suarez on Barcelona future: Barca striker Luis Suarez has spoken on his future at FC Barcelona.
Barcelona edged past Cultural Leonesa in their first leg of the Copa Del Rey round-of-32, as an injury-time goal from Clement Lenglet was enough to make the difference between the two sides.
Ernesto Valverde’s side has returned to winning ways since the end of the international break last month. Barcelona cruised to league wins against Sevilla and Real Madrid, and defeated Inter Milan in their Champions League group stage clash.
Their wins against the Italian side and Real Madrid were also significant due to the fact that Messi was absent for both the games, owing to an arm injury. However, the Argentine star has now returned to training and is on course for recovery.
Luis Suarez scored a hattrick in the El Clasico, and was influential for Barca’s win against Inter Milan. However, in an interview with Radio Sport 890, a Uruguayan media outlet, Suarez addressed the concerns related to his future.
Luis Suarez on Barcelona future:
The Uruguayan international talked about the criticism on his performances in the beginning of the season, when Suarez was struggling with form.
“At my age, I do not pay attention to what is said about me,” said Suarez.

“Criticism to myself – FC Barcelona needs a number nine. Looking for one is normal, I’m 31 and the club needs to think about the future,” Suarez added.
Since joining Barcelona, Suarez emerged as one of the top strikers in football, scoring 159 goals in 212 appearances for the club.
