Man United Transfer News: Manchester United set to sign Sunderland prodigy after he refuses Arsenal and Spurs

Man United Transfer News: Manchester United set to hire Sunderland’s hot prospect, he has declined the offers made by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United is set to sign a 16-year-old talent from Sunderland Joe Hugill but the Red Devils will have to wait for the lockdown measures to end before they could proceed to complete a deal.

According to The Sun, Manchester United will pay £200,000 for the Sunderland striker, who rejected terms on a new deal at the Stadium of Light.

Meanwhile, he even received offers from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur which he has reportedly declined. Hugill has impressed various top-flight clubs after his illustrious performances in the youth competitions.

But it is the Red Devils who have snapped up the striker, who will sign his first professional contract with the Premier League giants. Personal terms have been finalised and Hugill will travel to Manchester to complete his medical once it is safe to do so.

Manchester United have been in search of a forward since a while and had brought in Odion Ighao from the Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, after which he gave in decent performances.

But with his loan tenure expiring at the end of May, Manchester United is looking at the viable options and Hugill seems to be a considerable pick amongst the scarcity of quality striking prospects in Europe.

Although Hugill will have a good competition with Mason Greenwood, who is probably the brightest talent produced by Manchester United’s academy in recent years.

But with a lot of time and looking at his tender age, he will probably first sent into the youth team to gain more development before getting any substantial chance with the first team.
