Man Utd News: Full details of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez ludicrous wages at Old Trafford revealed

Ludicrous wages of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez have been made known.

Manchester United were wrestling with Manchester City to land Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January 2018. The Chilean International was awarded £250,000 by Pep Guardiola’s club, but they backtracked when the Red Devils doubled that amount.

The Old Trafford faithful were in joyous mood after landing the former Arsenal star, but he has turned out to be an utter flop. The 30-year-old has scored just five goals from 45 appearances at Old Trafford, and Solskjaer wants to sell him desperately. His wage was divulged to Football leaks, who have enclosed the gigantic amount.

The former Barcelona forward earns a gross amount of £391,346 which includes the basic wages and image rights. These two elements takes his wages to nearly £16.5 million. Additionally, the 30-year-old earns £1.1 million per year as a part of the loyalty bonus.

On the other hand, Paul Pogba earns ridiculous cash as well. He is the poster boy of the Red Devils and makes nearly £17 million per year from the club alone. The midfielder’s basic wage is £144,000 which accounts for £7.5 million per year. Additionally, he receives a loyalty bonus of £3.75 million per year and an excess £1.85 million if the club qualifies for the Champions League.

Apart from these three factors, he earns £3 million from image rights. Pogba and Sanchez’s contracts are appallingly structured as they earn most from their basic wages, rather than bonus wages, depending on the performance.

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from Manchester United, with both Real Madrid and Juventus tipped to be the next destination. Solskjaer has been unsuccessful in his transfer pursuits, and it would take a miracle to qualify for the Champions League.

Losing Paul Pogba would not only affect the performances on the pitch, but the marketing team would suffer as well. The Red Devils board have been coy on that latter part for revenue.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Manchester United will have to work on the new contracts perfectly to avoid unnecessary inflation.
