Man Utd News: Manchester United staff member blasts four players before Chelsea draw

Well-known Manchester United staff member has blasted four players before Sunday’s game.

Manchester United and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday night which dented the hopes of qualifying to the Champions League next season for the Red Devils. It was a tough pill to swallow for Solskjaer’s men who do not have a destiny in their hands to finish in the top four with two games remaining.

It was a much-improved performance after getting humiliated by Manchester City in front of their home fans. Juan Mata gave the early lead for the hosts, but Marcos Alonso capitalized on David De Gea’s mistake to equalize the score. It was a fair scoreline, but Maurizio Sarri’s side will be happy with the result.

However, the dressing room environment was poor before the game. According to the English publication Express, a well known Manchester City staff member ripped off four Red Devils player before the Chelsea game. Even though the name has not been revealed, the report adds on that the side are severely lacking belief among themselves currently.

The four names are set to be Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, and Romelu Lukaku.

The Swedish International moved from Benfica to Old Trafford during the summer of 2017, but he has not hit the heights expected from him. The staff reportedly blasted him for the inability to tackle a ball properly. After putting in good displays, Lindelof has again struggled to find his feet again.

The staff member is also wondering how Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are kept at the club after not proving themselves over the last five years or so. They have been very average to say with just good patches here and there.

And Sir Alex Ferguson’s judgement was also questioned, with the member believing the Scot had ‘lost the plot’ when he said Jones could be a club legend upon retirement. Smalling, it was claimed, peaked under Louis van Gaal.

Also, the staff also questioned why Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan would fight for Lukaku after showcasing poor displays this season.

Here’s how Twitter reacted..
