Man Utd transfer news: James Maddison wants to move to Old Trafford in the summer. The 23-year old has been a fan of the club.
Despite his successful stint with Leicester City, James Madison is eager to be part of Manchester United’s rebuild. According to Manchester Evening News, the playmaker ‘would have been at United years ago’ if it was up to him.

Maddison currently has a contract with the foxes until 2023. This puts the ball firmly in Leicester’s court who can charge even more than the £80m they obtained for Harry Maguire in August last year. The report further adds that despite signing Bruno Fernandes in January, United’s interest in Maddison and Jack Grealish remains unchanged.
James Maddison ticks all of United’s criteria
The higherups at the club have already identified and budgeted between 3 and 5 signings across the two transfer windows this year. They are expected to make at least 3 signings in the summer. Maddison is expected to be one of the 3.
The club believes that 23 is the perfect age to recruit a player. It also helps Madison’s case that he is close to his former clubmate Harry Maguire. He also fits Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s vision for the club which is signing young British players. In fact, all 3 of United’s signings in the summer were British.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire are Englishmen while Daniel James is a Wales international.
Should Leicester City agree to part ways with their star playmaker, it is safe to assume that yet another world record or at least a Premier League record will be broken.
The club is said to want humble and respectful players off the pitch who become arrogant when they pull on the club shirt.
