Man Utd transfer news: Lille manager confirms Nicolas Pepe transfer amidst Manchester United interest

Man Utd transfer news: Lille manager confirms Nicolas Pepe transfer amidst Manchester United interest to bolster the squad for next season.

Manchester United are seeking to sign reinforcements after having an underwhelming campaign this season. Ole Solskjaer has confessed that he will be looking for quality players in market this summer.

Considering the situation at the club, Manchester United need immediate reinforcements if they desire to compete at the top level in the following season.

Thus, the Red Devils have showed their interest in Nicolas Pepe, as the winger seems to be quality addition to the struggling attack line of Manchester United.

The 23-year-old winger has been phenomenal in Ligue 1 as he has amassed 23 goals and 12 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.

It is likely that the player would leave the club to seek better prospects amid interests from several clubs.

In an interview to Canal+ Lille’s manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed about his departure. “He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club.

“There will be a battle between the great European teams. I hope that he will take good amount of time to think about it, do his research.

“Like he did when he came here and when he decided to stay here [last summer], find the right project.”

Adding further, the player has a buyout clause of £69 million, considering the attacking resources with ole Solskjaer, Pepe will be a massive upgrade at a reasonable price for the Red Devils.
