Man Utd Transfer News: PSG Star Edinson Cavanni takes decision Manchester United transfer bid. The Red Devils are in dire need of a striker.
PSG forward Edinson Cavanni is expected to leave the Parc de Princess either in the ongoing transfer window or by the summer. Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United have entered the race to lure the striker but it is the latter who are most desperate for a forward.

The Red Devils are short on options upfront with only Anthony Martial and Greenwood in the squad after the injury to Marcus Rashford. The young forward is possibly facing a recovery time of up to 3 months with a back problem.
Edinson Cavanni rejects Manchester United
The club from Manchester have however, had their offer for Edinson Cavanni turned down by the striker himself, in spite of the club offering him a contract worth around £10m-a-year, plus a huge signing-on bonus according to Footmercato via France Football News.
The report adds that Cavanni has rejected the proposal because he prefers a move to Atletico Madrid instead and is willing to wait until the summer if the move doesn’t go through this month. The Spanish side has already made an offer for the Uruguayan. However, PSG’s demands of €25m has proven to be stumbling thus far for a player they can swoop for free in the summer.
The former Napoli marksman is PSG’s leading goalscorer of all time with 198 goals for the club across all competitions, but a mixture of form and fitness has limited him to just four Ligue 1 starts this season. PSG Sporting director Leonardo confirmed Cavanni’s desire to leave earlier this week.
“We always said the same thing for Cavani. We hoped that he would stay at the club. He asked to leave. We are studying the situation.
Leonardo also confirmed Atletico Madrid’s bid for the player.
“We had a proposal from Atletico Madrid. We did not have a proposal worthy of the player’s worth. I’m not sure Cavani will be here in February.
“We will see how it turns out in the coming days, but we are listening to Cavani because we respect him. It’s a little clearer now, with him at the end of his contract.”
