Man Utd vs Chelsea: Manchester United missed a great opportunity to strengthen their claim for top-4. Here are some of the best Twitter reactions.
Manchester United were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Old Trafford by Chelsea.
Juan Mata gave the side a lead in the game in the 11th minute, but an error from David De Gea led to the goal at the brink of the halftime for Chelsea. Marcos Alonso gave Chelsea the equalizer.
The second half was fairly frustrating for both the sides as they failed to create goalscoring opportunities.
Manchester United will certainly be more disappointed with the result, as the side failed to take advantage of Arsenal’s slip-up for the third time in a row. Solskjaer’s side stays sixth, but move a point closer to Arsenal.
How Twitter reacted..
What a chance at top four wasted. Dire
One point from three games. We’ve f*cked it.

Fucking annoying game. Didn’t do enough to get the three points. But De Gea gave them their only goal. Chelsea looked so average. Can’t believe we are finishing below a team like that.

Chelsea will finish 4th. Arsenal will make it courtesy Europa. 5 PL teams in the CL next season

Their equaliser was a killer in terms of timing and the self-inflicted nature of it but the total lack of an even remotely adequate response to that sums this team up I’m afraid. Repeatedly found wanting mentally and physically (and you have to say a little tactically today)

Last few United performances have been as bad as anything under Mourinho, but Solskjaer getting the benefit of the doubt from the fans at the moment. That won’t last forever.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has had two big decisions to make regarding Young’s form previously and kept playing him and he continued to make mistakes until it was too late. He’s also done the same with De Gea. That naivety has cost us some season definining points.

De Gea has saved us time and again. I’d still offer him anything he wanted to stay longer. But it was another awful mistake. Just wonder what is going on with him to keep making him cock up.

The best in the world.
Even the best have periods of bad form. Supported De Gea when he came as a kid, will support him now as one of the best. Show him some love and watch him return stronger than ever. pic.twitter.com/hIbohs7k2Y

Points won in the last 3 games by the top 2: Manchester City 9… Liverpool 9. 18 between them in 6 games.
Points won in the last 3 games by the teams going for the top 4: Spurs 3…Chelsea 2…Manchester United 1… Arsenal 0. Just 6 between them in 12 games. 🤷🏻♂️— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) April 28, 2019
De Gea costing us Top 4 on his own. What an unlikely source of disappointment, he’s saved us for so many years, this year he’s lost us games on his own. #mufc
