Man Utd vs Rochdale Lineups: How Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils will line up in 2019 Carabao Cup third round?

Man Utd vs Rochdale Lineups: Manchester United are set to face Rochdale United in the League Cup third round.

Manchester United are focussing on their League Cup third round clash against Rochdale United on Wednesday.

The Red Devils are in total disarray on the back of a 2-0 loss to West Ham United in the weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take his side to Spotland Stadium knowing that his side has failed to win any away games after the historic night in Paris – which landed him the permanent role at the club.

As for the hosts, they have claimed just two victories out of possible nine and sit 17th in the Football League One. They are far from being at their best and could struggle to match Manchester United on paper. But, the game is played on the field and the recent upset of Tottenham Hotspur going down to Colchester United, will give Rochdale a glimmer of hope.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has failed to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton, and West Ham United on-road. The Red Devils have a fantastic chance to turn the misery and pick up this potential morale-bolstering victory. They have some players back from injuries and should get cross the line comfortably.

We shall look at Manchester United’s injury news, suspensions and potential starting eleven for Rochdale clash.

INJURIES

Eric Bailly and Timo Fosu-Mensah are long-term absentees, while Luke Shaw is anticipated to be fully fit in two weeks. Marcus Rashford picked up an injury against West Ham United and no timescale has been placed upon his return. Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood have recovered from injuries and will be in contention to face the League one side.

SUSPENSIONS

There are no suspensions for Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

PREDICTED LINEUP

Manchester United: Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Fred, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood.
