Manchester United have to pay 48 million for Renato Sanches

Jose Mourinho stated in a recent interview that he is not happy with Manchester United’s transfer window.

While some people will point to the record breaking Lukaku transfer as the stand out moment of United’s summer so far, others will point out to the acquisition of Lindelof as more of a game changer than the Belgian.

But Jose is not quite done, as he is now looking at grabbing Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches this summer. Sanches, who was the breakout star of last year’s Euro with the Portugal, has not had the start that he really wanted in Munich.

The powerful midfielder provides creativity and thrust from the midfield, something that could transform this Manchester United side.

It is no secret that Jose needs to find a way to unleash Paul Pogba this season. The Frenchman may very well define United’s campaign, as we are yet to see the very best of the most expensive player in history.

Bayern Munich have realized that they will need to let go of Sanches this summer and are willing to look at either a loan or permanent deal.

This is what Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had to say,

‘He [Renato Sanches] won’t have lot of game [time] next season and we are open to discuss his possible sale,’ Rummenigge said.

We can sell him on loan or on a permanent deal, I am not the manager but I believe Renato needs regular game time.

‘AC Milan are interested in signing him, I can confirm that, but talks have been put on hold after last week’s meeting.’

Clubs interested must be aware that they’d need a huge offer to sign him and I believe AC Milan can’t match our asking price.

‘I think that an offer in the region of €48 million could be enough to sign him.’
