Manchester United team news vs Bournemouth: Manchester United have revitalized under Solskjaer.

The side won their second league game in a row last night, as a brace from Paul Pogba secured a 3-1 win after Matic opened goalscoring in the first half.

Manchester United scored five in their game against Cardiff last weekend, which was the first time when the side scored five in a league game since Sir Alex Ferguson’s farewell game.

Paul Pogba returned to the side with two brilliant performances in the games under Solskjaer. He has scored two goals and bagged as many assists in the last two matches.

The manager has now given more good news for Manchester United fans in the press conference after the win against Huddersfield.

Manchester United team news vs Bournemouth:

Solskjaer was pleased with the side’s performance in the game. He was appreciative of Paul Pogba, who scored a quick-fire brace, including a thundering shot from outside the box.

“That’s the Paul I know,” said Solskjaer. “The Paul I’ve known since he was in the reserves and youth team with me.

“He has always been a happy boy, he’s always had a big smile on his face.”

Solskjaer stated that Paul Pogba knows the traditions and responsibility he represents while playing for Manchester United, and that the midfielder ‘loves’ to play for the club.

“When you score a goal, or two, of course, you are happy.

“But when you play football for Man United you should be happy. Of course it’s a responsibility, but it’s an honour and a privilege.

“Paul loves playing for this club. He’s a Man United boy through and through, a kid who knows what it means to play for Man United.”

Solskjaer also gave an update on the squad arrivals before the game against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.

“I said to the staff towards the end: when you go 2-0 up, maybe 3-0 up, next week we’ll have Sanchez, Martial back, you’ve got Lukaku to put on, I think we could have really finished them off then,” Solskjaer said, commenting on the game.

“He (Alexis) has had two days of good fitness work. Touch and go for Sunday. Not had time to sit down and speak in detail but it seems like he is a workaholic.”

Romelu Lukaku was out of contention for selection for the last two games as he was on compassionate leave. Alexis Sanchez, meanwhile, has been a long-term absentee with hamstring injury.

What next?

Manchester United will take on Bournemouth on December 30 at Old Trafford. The side registered a 2-1 win in their previous league game against Eddie Howe’s side this season.
