Manchester United vs Fulham highlights: Twitter reacts as Manchester United finally end their disappointing run in the league.
Manchester United have climbed up to 6th place in the Premier League with a win over Fulham. Mourinho’s men ran riot in the first half against the side from Craven Cottage, as they scored three goals inside 40 minutes.
Ashley Young opened the goalscoring with a brilliant solo goal, while Juan Mata doubled the lead for the side.
Romelu Lukaku registered his first goal at Old Trafford since March this year, as he gave United a 3-0 lead at halftime.
The side lacked the dynamic approach in the second half, however, and a controversial penalty decision broke the deadlock for the visitors. Marcus Rashford gave United a fourth goal towards the closing stages of the game with a brilliant effort from outside the box, as United emerged 4-1 winners from the game.
With this win, United have now scored 26 points from 16 games, and edge closer to the top-4 mark. The side, however, awaits the result of Everton’s game against Watford as they play on Monday night. Everton’s win will push United down to the seventh position.
Here are some of the best tweets from the game:
Really pleased for Rashford today. He’s taken some stick from people but showed what he can do with two assists and a smashing goal. Now, like many of the team, he has to show that kind of form consistently. Really chuffed for him today!

Have just seen Rashfords goal.
Hopefully it will keep the ‘Rashford is shit’ merchants quiet for a bit.— Sav (@jonmikesav8) December 8, 2018
Well that was fun! The football we played, especially in the first half, was great. Thought Dalot had a top game. A full-back who can cross. What is going on? 😱

Dalot is far from the finished product. But it’s nice to have a full back who acts like a full back.

Lot to like about Dalot. Loves to get forward, doesn’t look like he needs oxygen or an instruction manual when he does so, good cross on him, quick, has already nailed the sympathetic thumbs up as a Smalling crossfield pass sails over his head into touch. Exciting

Dalot’s crossing is superb. Been a while since we’ve had a right back that can put a good ball in like that. Maybe even going all the way back to @GNev2.

Super impressed by Dalot. Keeping it simple. Put in some good crosses and defensively haven’t put a foot wrong. #mufc

Very imaginative goal from @MarcusRashford after another excellent display.

Thoroughly splendid goal from Ashley Young gives @ManUtd the lead.

Might only be Fulham, but the most enjoyable Manchester United game for some time. Constant attacking, entertainment and commitment. More of the same needed.

United good in the first half before taking their foot off the gas. Biggest Premier League win for more than a year. Diogo Dalot looks the part.
