TheSportsRush brings Manchester United vs Newcastle United highlights, as United pulled a stunning comeback to secure three points.
It was one of those comebacks for United which the fans have always related the club with. After being down 2-0 in the first half, Mourinho inspired his men to terrific comeback to seal the match 3-2.
Manchester United conceded two early goals due to extremely sloppy defending from Ashley Young, Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly. Mourinho was forced to make an attacking change, bringing Juan Mata on for Bailly in the 18th minute.
Jose Mourinho’s side continued to push for a goal in the first half, but failed. But United players emerged from the Old Trafford tunnel in the second half with an attacking intent, and Mourinho committed wholly to attack.
United attacked the Newcastle defence, and ultimate got the breakthrough with a Juan Mata free-kick. Anthony Martial soon equalized with a stunning backheel pass from Paul Pogba, who was central to United’s comeback. Alexis Sanchez’s header in the 90th minute sealed the game.
With this win, Manchester United registered their fourth victory in eight games, taking their overall points tally to 13. They are now 8th in the league.
The players will now head off to international break, before returning to face the high-flying Chelsea.

Old Trafford singing “Jose Mourinho”. United have been good since half time. Attacked with pace and purpose. Forced Newcastle to cave in on themselves.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Jose Mourinho’s tactical changes. Mocked for putting Pogba at centre back – he’s been instrumental to this comeback. Pogba has completely changed the game for us. Quality. #mufc

Maybe United should go 2-0 down every week! I mean, technically they already do, but win afterwards
