A huge match. Arch rivals India and Pakistan battle it out in a crunch match as their fans watch with baited breath. But we are not talking about the ICC Champions Trophy final are we?

India and Pakistan face each other in the HWL semi final in a match that is unfortunately being forgotten today.

But it is still a huge match, and it was expected to be a tight contest. The Indian hockey team have been on the rise over the last few years as many people believe that the future is very bright.

On the other hand, the Pakistan team is sprinkled with brilliance as the likes of Ajaz Ahmed lead their team mates in every match.

But India took control early in the match as Harmanpreet scored the opening goal for India from a penalty corner.

India then doubled their lead, as Talwinder Singh cleverly finished a good move for the Indian team.

And it got better for the Indians, as Talwinder scored another to give India a 3-0 lead before the half-time.

Things did not change after the break, as Harmanpreet got his second of the match from another penalty corner.

Things got embarrassing for Pakistan, as Akashdeep scored a 5th goal for India which was then followed by a 6th from Pardepp Mor.

India scored another one as Pakistan got a consolation goal to finish the match at   7-1.
