Mesut Ozil on Tottenham clash: The Arsenal midfielder has reacted to Carabao Cup draw, where Arsenal are drawn with Tottenham.
Arsenal overcame Blackpool in the Carabao Cup last night to proceed to the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Gunners are drawn with city rivals Tottenham, and the tie will take place in the week commencing December 17 at the Emirates Stadium.
Unai Emery’s side is on a 12-game unbeaten run across all competitions after the win against Blackpool. Arsenal won 11 games, but were held to a draw by Crystal Palace last weekend, which ended their incredible winning run.
Arsenal will take on Tottenham twice in December, as Arsenal will also host Mauricio Pochettino’s side in their Premier League clash on 2nd.
Former German international and Arsenal midfield star Mesut Ozil looked fairly excited with the draw, and reacted to the Carabao Cup draw through social media.

Mesut Ozil took to Instagram to react to Arsenal’s quarterfinal draw against their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur. He posted a picture of the draw and asked the fans if they were happy with the tie.
He gave only one option, though – #YaGunnersYa.
Arsenal made a poor start to the season as they lost both of their opening games to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively. However, Unai Emery’s side didn’t drop points from their third Premier League fixture against West Ham, until the last weekend.

The Gunners are above Tottenham in the Premier League table after Tottenham conceded a loss to Manchester City on Monday night.
This week is significant to Arsenal in the context of the Premier League top-4, as Arsenal face Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s side is level on points with league leaders Manchester City and have been fairly impressive this season so far.

What next?
Mesut Ozil has been a key member for the Arsenal squad under Unai Emery. He was mightily impressive in the game against Leicester City, where he was directly involved in two of the three goals as Arsenal came back from a goal down to win 3-1 at King Power Stadium.
The timing of the run. The first touch. The lob over the keeper. The dummy so clever it left two defenders on the floor. The finish. The limbs in the away end. The last-gasp winner.
