Wicketkeeper for MI vs CSK Dream 11
I have a tough task of choosing between MS Dhoni and Quinton de Kock. While Dhoni is a legend who has been contributing with the bat as well as behind the stumps, de Kock has been explosive at the top of the order and has often played some match-defining innings. I pick de Kock over Dhoni due to the batting position of both these players. De Kock, being an opener, will be able to face much more deliveries than Dhoni who comes in at No. 5.
Bowlers for MI vs CSK Dream 11
I am going with 4 bowlers for this match, all of whom have had a great run at this IPL. Imran Tahir will be my first bowler. He is a wicket-taker and that goes strongly in his favour. He has picked up 24 wickets in 16 matches in this IPL at an economy rate of just over 6.5 runs an over. He needs one more wicket to win the Purple Cap this time. Get him in for sure.
Another bowler who can not be ignored at all is Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian pacer has picked up 17 wickets in 15 matches at an economy rate of less than 7 runs an over. Bumrah bowls at the death and can get some easy wickets as well. He needs to be in.
My other two bowlers are the Chahar brothers. Rahul Chahar of Mumbai Indians has been one of the biggest finds of this season. He has been terrific in all the matches and has picked up 12 wickets in 12 matches at an economy rate of 6.84. He has the ability to pick regular wickets and is a huge fantasy asset.
Deepak Chahar of CSK also makes my team. He has had a dream season with 19 wickets in 16 matches at an economy of just over 7.50 runs an over. Chahar is the 4th highest wicket-taker in this season and would love to finish in the top 3. He picks regular wickets and should be in your team.
All-Rounders for MI vs CSK Dream 11
2 all-rounders who have made a huge mark will be in my team. Hardik Pandya walks into my team after having the season of his life. Hardik has been phenomenal with both bat and ball. He has finished many matches and has been striking the ball wonderfully with people going on to compare him to Russell. He will be my captain due to his unbelievable form and dangerous hitting ability.
Dwayne Bravo is also in my team. He bowls at the death and picks up regular wickets. He can also tonk the ball towards the end and finish off the innings on a high. It is too risky to leave Bravo out of the team. Due to my team combination, Krunal Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja miss out. However, you can consider them if you go with a different approach.
Batsmen for MI vs CSK Dream 11
I am going to select 4 batsmen for my Dream 11 team. Rohit Sharma, the MI skipper, showed signs of form in their last league match against KKR. He is a man for big occasions and might come good today. Leaving out a player of his calibre is not a good idea as one good performance by him can ruin your team. Suryakumar Yadav has been in scintillating form and has been one of the most consistent batsmen in this IPL at No. 3. He played a very impressive knock in the qualifier and would want to contribute in the big final. Surya can be a huge asset to your team.
My next pick is undoubtedly the South African skipper, Faf du Plessis. He has been in good touch and opening the innings means that du Plessis will have another opportunity to cause some damage. Faf has shown how reliable he is. Get him in and make him your vice captain for this match as he is likely to make a great impact.
Last pick for the IPL final?
Now, I have only 8 credits left and although I really want to pick Shane Watson who has this habit of scoring big in big matches like IPL 2018 Final, I have to go with Ishan Kishan since he is the only batsman available at 8 credits and plays in the top 4. Get Watson in for Rohit or Surya if you want to but it might be a huge risk since Watson has not been in the best of form this year.
