Jurgen Klopp has provided an update on Mohamed Salah’s injury.
Liverpool were jubilant following their victory over Newcastle United in an exciting game. The Reds reclaimed top spot yet again in the Premier League and leave out the rest to Manchester City’s opponents who have Liverpool’s destiny in their hands.
Despite procuring a huge victory, Jurgen Klopp was dealt with a huge blow when Mohamed Salah was forced to be withdrawn in the second half. The Egyptian accidentally collided with the shot-stopper Martin Dubravka and Liverpool attacker was not able to get back to his normal position.
He was totally stretched off in the second half and Klopp was forced to throw Divock Origi in. It is understood that Salah has not gone to hospital after the game, instead watched the rest of the game in the dressing room according to Jurgen Klopp.
“The doctor had to make a decision and the decision was off the pitch. When we came in he was sitting in the dressing room watching the game. He was fine but we have to wait.” said Klopp.

Liverpool’s number 11 will be assessed as they prepare to take on FC Barcelona at Anfield on Tuesday. It has been a rough patch for the Reds who already lost Naby Keita, and Roberto Firmino is likely to miss the clash on Tuesday.
Jurgen Klopp will be well aware of Salah’s injury and will hope to see him for the Champions League game. After the Semifinals, Liverpool will invite Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anfield in the final gameweek of the Premier League.
