Mohamed Salah has named his best goal for Liverpool FC after scoring a swashbuckling goal against Chelsea.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane scored a goal apiece against Chelsea to regain the top spot in the Premier League. The first half was very flat, but there were plenty of memorable moments for the Reds faithful in the second half as they blew away the visitors within three minutes to leapfrog over Manchester City again.

Jordan Henderson found Sadio Mane in the far post who had to head the ball from close range. The Senegalese International handed over the lead in the 51st minute and it was soon made two by Mohamed Salah. Two minutes later, the Egyptian International firmly struck the shot and the ball had enough movement to find the top corner and give a two-goal cushion.

In the post-match interview, the former Chelsea forward spoke about the delight to contribute to the team’s victory with a goal. Salah said: “I don’t think, I just feel – I wanted to hit it with power, I was a bit lucky the ball hit the net like that. I am a yoga man!”

“Hendo did a great job and made it easier for me. He was part of the goal – we do some tactical work in training and it worked.”

After scoring this fabulous goal against Chelsea, he was asked about the best goal he has scored in the red shirt, “My favourite goal is still Everton at home, it was my first derby!

“We know how to play for each other. Hendo is always emotional for the club – we are a good team and we have to just stay strong mentally. We just kept going and going, with a little bit of luck second half we scored two great goals. I knew the result of Man City before the game.”

“If we win our next four games, I personally think we will win the league, but we need Manchester City to drop points. Sadio and Bobby are having great seasons – but it’s a lot harder for me this season, players are focusing on me and it’s leaving spaces elsewhere. The Premier League is the most important thing for me, we just need to keep going.” said Salah.
