Monday Night Football declares Top 10 Premier League Goals of the decade

#6) Pajtim Kasami vs Crystal Palace (2013)

Pajtim Kasami isn’t exactly a name you think of when you picture top 10 goals of the decade. However, he will always be remembered for pulling off one of the most aesthetically pleasant goals you will ever see. Fulham were trailing 1-0 before Kasami took matters in his hand and equalised the score.

He bought the long ball down on his chest and then volleyed straight through the ball into the nets, immortalising himself to Fulham fans. Fulham went on to add 3 more goals to win the match 4-1 and register back to back victories for the first time that season.

#5) Jack Wilshere vs Norwich City (2013)

This was Jack Wilshere’s first goal at the Emirates in the Premier League and what a way to bring it. Compared to the others in this list, this goal had the simplest of finishes. However, its beauty was in its build up.

Wilshere collected the ball deep in his own half before feeding it to Cazorla on the left who passed it back to Wilshere near the edge of the box. Wilshere and Giroud then combined with three beautiful flicks before Wilshere volleyed it from close range into the net.

Arsenal would go on to register 3 more goals to win the match 4-1 but the Wilshere goal was eastly the pick of the bunch. The one flicks and the deft passes make this one of the best team goals you will ever see in the Premier League.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
