Indian veteran keeper and former Captain MS Dhoni was impressed by KL Rahul’s celebration after the latter slammed a century.

KL Rahul has been in and out of the team for a long while now. A couple of years back, he showed glimpses of his special talent when he slammed a century in a T20 in Windies.

However, since then he has been quite on and off as he has struggled with some physical issues. Despite all that, playing his first ever match in England, KL Rahul was on point since the first ball.

Earlier, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler went all guns blazing giving England a great start. Alex Hales then came out to bat but did not look in good touch as he struggled for timing. Captain Eoin Morgan also could not leave a mark.

The England bating collapsed as they could not pick Kuldeep at all. First, it was Jonny Bairstow who got a wrong one from Kuldeep Yadav. On the very next delivery Joe Root received another beauty from Kuldeep Yadav to which Root danced outside the crease and was stumped by Dhoni.

Afterwards, the Karnataka lad paced his innings beautifully. He did not let the pressure dictate terms as he handled the chase like a pro. In no time, Rahul raced to a century. He was unbeaten on 99 and batting along with Captain Virat Kohli. On the next ball, he played a flick towards fine leg and scampered for a single.

Rahul became very emotional after the hundred and had a long celebration which included a dab with Virat Kohli. MS Dhoni, who was standing in the dressing room, applauding Rahul’s hundred seemed quite impressed with the celebration.

There was a cheeky smile that cropped up on his face as he saw Rahul doing all sorts of antics on the field.
