Yuvraj Singh’s comeback to the game is inevitable. He has done that time and time again, and you just know that the old warhorse would make that one final comeback to the Indian side.

And he has made huge strides towards that comeback by passing the Yo-Yo test at the NCA, and has worked sufficiently well on his fitness, something that puts him in line for an international call up.
In order to feature for India, one should have a minimum cut-off score of 16.1. Yuvraj Singh’s latest score read 16.3 which is well beyond the requirements. Everyone expected the Indian selectors would select Yuvraj Singh for upcoming assignments, but they did not want to rush him back, as he has not had enough match practice, having missed a lot of Ranji games for Punjab.
After India announced the squad, Yuvraj Singh was not mentioned even after clearing the fitness Test at the NCA, Bengaluru. BCCI chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad, in a recent presser revealed the reason why Yuvraj Singh was not selected despite having cleared the Yo-Yo Test.
MSK Prasad told the press that he was delighted that Yuvraj Singh had cleared the test. But, according to him, Yuvraj Singh hasn’t plied his wares much in the recent past times. So, they have decided to give him a chance a bit later.
“Yuvraj had fitness issues. I am happy he has cleared now. He hasn’t played much so we are going to wait and see once he had some game,” MSK Prasad echoed during a press conference.
Yuvraj Singh made the best impressions to attract the Indian selectors. However, it’s just the beginning of the comeback for him. It is certain from the words of MSK Prasad that Yuvraj Singh would soon make a stellar comeback and is almost certain to don the Indian colours once again in the times to come.
