After all the drama during the race, Daytona ended with a 1-2 for Roush Fenway Keselowski to end an incredibly impressive regular season for the team. Brad Keselowski ran into some problems with his car in the race, which could have threatened to ruin his weekend, but he managed to overcome the same by implementing a rather innovative solution.

He was able to power through what seemed to be a fire in his car during the red flag session. However, the RFK boss did not get away before being subjected to mockery for how he quelled the fire to begin with. Later, on Keselowski had to explain why he had to perform such interesting theatrics at that moment.
Brad Keselowski explains his theatrics after fans mock him
During lap 96 of the race, when the red flag had come out, fans witnessed Keselowski run his car around in circles without any explanation. Soon enough they took to social media to mock the rather bizarre random movements by the RFK driver.
Not sure if NBC has shown it but Brad Keselowski was literally driving in circles on the backstretch trying to get a fire to go out.
One of the most absurd shots I’ve ever seen.#NASCAR

Meanwhile, Keselowski had a response ready for all the mockery from his fans. He mentioned, “The smoke was billowing fast around my feet, knew I had to do something. The red in the ECU gets clearer with every second as the fire is going out and smoke dissipating… so I guess it’s not dumb if it works?!?!“

Certainly, not dumb Keselowski! But it was still hilarious to witness him go around in circles. Thankfully, whatever tactic he ended up employing worked well for him. Thereafter, he was able to carry on with the race and even ended up with a power 1-2 finish along with his teammate at the end of the race.
Keselowski had a major impact on powering Chris Buescher to his 3rd win
Just a couple of weeks earlier, RFK was winless and struggling. But in the past five races, Buescher suddenly woke up and took the spotlight after his back-to-back wins at Richmond and Michigan, followed by his third victory of the season at Daytona this weekend. A large part of Bueschers’ wins has to be credited to the efforts of his team owner.
Following his impressive win, Buescher spoke with the media and praised Keselwoski’s efforts towards his eventual win, saying, “I mean this one, this one belongs to Brad (Keselowski) just as much. Because that was a massive push from the boss man, teammate, and all the things. So just so proud of that and what we are able to accomplish here tonight.
Let’s see if RFK is able to carry this momentum forward into the playoffs.
