The Nascar Cup Series is set to begin from the Busch Clash at the Daytona International Speedway. The random draw to figure out the starting lineup for the event happened on Monday.
Ryan Blaney is set to be at the pole position before starting the race held in the 14-turn, 3.61-mile (5.810-kilometre) road course in Daytona Beach, Florida behind the wheel of his #12 Ford.
The 35- lap long race is going to witness 21 drivers vying on Tuesday. A total of 24 drivers were eligible to compete in this race, by meeting at least one of the following criteria:-
- 2020 Busch Pole Award winners, past Busch Clash winners, past Daytona 500 winners who competed full-time in 2020,
- Past Daytona 500 pole sitters who competed full-time in 2020
- 2020 Cup Series playoff drivers
- 2020 Cup Series race winners
- 2020 Cup Series stage winners
However, three drivers from the eligible list Clint Bowyer, Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth have retired, reducing the list of participants to 21.
