"This was vintage Anthony Davis": Alex Caruso buoyantly spurs on the Lakers star after a 42-point night against Chris Paul and co

Alex Caruso makes a fiery statement about Anthony Davis and the Lakers and warns the NBA about what is to come from them.

Anthony Davis is finally back!

Fans of the LA Lakers have had so much to fear in recent weeks. There were even worries that, perhaps, the team was far too overrun with injuries to contend for the championship this year.

Well, we as fans may forget it sometimes, but players read what is said about them too. And it appears that Anthony Davis took some of it very personally.

In the franchise’s recent game against the second-seeded Phoenix Suns, the Brow simply went ballistic. In 42 minutes, the player had 41 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. He did this on an efficient 48.1% from the field. And, as if that wasn’t good enough, Davis 3 blocks and 3 steals during this game.

Like many fans, Alex Caruso was in awe of his teammate after the game. And on the back of the win today, he made a very interesting comment about AD and the LA Lakers this season. Let’s get into it.

The Lakers have most definitely had to deal with some turbulent times over the course of this season. And to be honest, there are still some issues that the franchise needs to work out. However, the return to form of Anthony Davis serves as a major positive to the team right now.

The Brow dominated against one of the best teams in the West, while LeBron James and Dennis Schroder were sidelined. His performance was nothing less than inspiring. And Alex Caruso was perhaps the most affected by it:

“The beast is waking up … We’re starting to see vintage AD … We’re a good a** team … when we’re fully healthy and we got our guys rolling, I still think we’re the best team in the world.”

Just a few weeks ago, no one within the Lakers franchise would quite have the confidence to say that after a game. However, with starting to get back on track, it is doubtful that many argue with the Bald Mamba’s comments.

Overall, this win will serve as a massive positive for the team going forward. But only time will tell if the team can turn this into a run until the end of the regular season.
