‘Blunt’ Magic Johnson Labels Jimmy Butler’s Heat ‘Less Talented’ in Front of His 5,300,000 Followers After Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets Take 3–1 Lead

Seems like the Miami Heat learned nothing from their Game 3 loss at home. Committing similar mistakes, Jimmy Butler and Co sustained a 108-95 loss in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. While the All-Star duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray combined for merely 38 points, it was Aaron Gordon who was the clear star of the night. Recording 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, the Nuggets star has led Denver to a 3-1 series lead. After yet another embarrassing home loss, Magic Johnson implied that the Heat are the less talented team in the contest, voicing out his opinions to his 5,300,000 Twitter users.

After falling short in the 2020 and 2021 playoffs, the Nuggets’ front office added several key pieces to the roster. Acquiring guys like Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Bruce Brown have definitely been a great move for the Colorado-based franchise. Giving props to the Nuggets for assembling a championship squad, Johnson claimed that they were more talented a group than the Heat.

Magic Johnson claims that the Denver Nuggets are more talented than the Miami Heat

Following the conclusion of the contest, the Los Angeles Lakers legend revealed how he believed that the Denver Nuggets were a more talented team. “At the end of the day, this Finals Series boils down to the fact that the Nuggets are a more talented team than the Heat,” Johnson tweeted.

In the game, role players Brown and Gordon combined for a whopping 48 points. That’s three more points than the Heat’s All-Star pairing of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Giving credit to the ‘others’ for the win, the Hall-Of-Famer also tweeted:

“The Denver Nuggets couldn’t be stopped tonight! Role players Aaron Gordon (27 points) and Bruce Brown (21 points off the bench) led the Nuggets along with their outstanding team defense.”

To be fair, Magic isn’t wrong. Despite what the outcome of the matchup was going to be, the #1 Western Conference seed, the Nuggets are a more talented team than the #8 Eastern Conference seed, the Heat.

Full credit to the Nuggets. Learning from their previous postseason disappointments, they have displayed their confidence in the leadership of Jokic and Murray. And now, they are just one win away from clinching the first-ever title in franchise history.

“It’s a good win, but we are not celebrating”: Michael Malone to Nikola Jokic and Co.

Despite being in a commanding 3-1 advantage, the Nuggets aren’t taking their foot off the gas to celebrate the win. In the postgame interview, Mike Malone revealed how he instructed his boys to not let the win get to their heads. Implying that they still need one more win before the celebrations began, the Nuggets head coach said: “We haven’t done a d**n thing yet.

Talking about the team’s confidence, Jamal Murray also disclosed his side’s mentality of being “locked in”.

With the series shifting back to Colorado, Denver will have a picture-perfect opportunity to lift their first-ever championship trophy at home. The pressure is now on the Miami Heat to evade a gentleman’s sweep in the NBA Finals.
