Kobe Bryant remains one of the most celebrated NBA stars, and his chronicles are spoken about with awe years after his passing. It’s pretty rare to hear someone speak of Bryant in an unflattering manner. But of course, no one is perfect.

Bryant’s public persona was that of a family man. But, according to former OKC Thunder star Sebastian Telfair, he was quite the philanderer.
In a recent appearance on VladTV, the former NBA star casually dropped some stories about the late Bryant. “You ever seen Kobe in the club? Never. Kobe had them chicks, though. Yes, he had some chicks,” he said.
Telfair went on to describe an incident that involved Kobe and a group of women from his ex-wife’s social circle. It should be noted that all of these could just be tall tales, since there’s nobody available to substantiate any of this. That said, it does dent Kobe’s impeccable image of being a family man. So, naturally, there has been some pushback.
Comedian Aries Spears, appearing on VladTV, talked about Telfair and voiced his disappointment with how he ratted on Kobe. “That was a b**** move,” he said, even though the interviewer, Vlad, repeatedly insisted that whatever Telfair did wasn’t what he would call being a snitch.
Vlad tried to justify by saying that NBA players having “side chicks” wasn’t exactly a momentous revelation like discovering North America. At this point, a clearly frustrated Spears pointed out that everybody also knows that the mafia existed, but they kept their mouths shut. Clearly, Spears was unhappy with Telfair’s words that belittled Kobe.
Yes, Telfair did pull back the curtain a fair bit. He had also claimed that LeBron James, who shares the same work ethic as Kobe on the court, shared his views on life outside it, too.
“You can see it in his [LeBron] kids and the other things he’s into. I’m glad I’m able to say that because it might seem like I’m trying to criticize the Kobe mentality, but I’m not. I’m just trying to say you still gotta live, though,” Telfair had asserted.
