"Charles Barkley, I went to the Finals 6 times more than you": Shaquille O'Neal brings up the 'Rings, Ernie!' argument yet again on Inside the NBA after Nets beat Bucks 125-86

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal had yet another ‘Rings, Ernie?’ moment tonight after 2 blowout wins for Brooklyn and Phoenix.

The Brooklyn Nets made short work of the Milwaukee Bucks, winning every quarter of a 39-point blowout. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton were the only two players to have a rhythm on offense for the Deer Brigade.

The other game between Suns and Nuggets started off with more promise. The Nuggets actually held a lead after the first 2 quarters and also a 9-point 3rd quarter lead at one point. But it was curtains for them late in the 2nd half as Chris Paul blew them away in the 4th quarter.

As a result, most of our entertainment as fans came from the in-studio grumbling and banter between 4 NBA legends. Yes, I consider Ernie Johnson to be an NBA legend, and you should too.

Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley playfully bring up the rings argument again

It’s been a few days since Shaq and Chuck had a go at each other. Much of the fun from watching the TNT shows comes from following how the crew sets up to roast each other.

They were discussing the real possibility of the Bucks getting swept by the Nets in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. It seemed like they wanted to spice up the night with some of their own banter. Consequently, Shaq and Chuck had the following exchange.

Chuck: “You got swept, and you’re supposed to be a great player?”

Shaq: “But I went to the Finals 6 times, Chuck. 6 times more than you. Yes, I got swept more than you.”

It seems Shaq took the W this time, even though he had factual inaccuracies in his blustering comeback.
