"Draymond Green is top 5 all-time": Metta World Peace shares his thoughts on the Warriors' DPOY claiming to be the 'Best Defender ever' in the NBA

Former champion Metta World Peace shows up as an ally for Draymond Green, calls the Warriors’ leader a top 5 all-time defender.

Warriors’ forward Draymond Green has been in a lot of smoke lately. He recently made a statement saying that he considers himself to be the greatest defender to ever play in the league.

This statement wasn’t met so kindly in the NBA world. There were a lot of people in the NBA world, including Shannon Sharpe, Tony Allen, Chris Webber who spoke against Green. Even Kendrick Perkins spoke up and challenged what Green had said.

Green hasn’t been one who is known to mince his words. He gave a befitting reply to former rival Tony Allen.

Metta World Peace speaks up in favor of Draymond Green

Metta World Peace is one of the better defenders – the only wing defender to win DPOY in the 2000s. Back in his day, he had been known to guard the toughest challenger from the opponent team.

MWP believes Draymond Green is a top 5 defender all-time. The former champion has taken a liking to the 3-time champion and his case for the same after checking out Green’s clips.

MWP attributed a major reason for Green making it to the top 5 is because of his size. Despite not being that big, Green continues to guard the top bigs of the league with high efficiency, and has been one of the top defenders in the league for some time now.

While there are others who may challenge Green’s claims, he might make it to the top spot with the time he has left in the league. Green has quite a few years ahead of him, and he can use this time to strengthen his case.
