NBA G League Ignite and draft prospect Scoot Henderson and Stephen Curry recently announced a strategic and mentorship alliance. The partnership is focused more on the business side of basketball but has also translated to on-court sessions. As a matter of fact, Henderson was left shocked after a recent training session. Curry, as usual, showed off his insane shooting skills. The 2-time MVP was once dubbed to be “ridiculous” by none other than possible GOAT and long-term rival LeBron James.

Now, his level of skill has stunned draft prospect Scoot Henderson, who is expected to be a lottery pick. Curry has not only promised to help him with training but will also be connecting him with trainers and coaches etc. in order to ensure the best development for the 19-year-old. Curry’s long-term trainer Brandon Payne had to calm Scoot Henderson down and told him that Curry would habitually train at such a high level.
Scoot Henderson left stunned after Stephen Curry’s shooting drill
There is little doubt that Henderson has a lot to gain from the partnership. Apart from training under one of the best players of all time, Curry is also a businessman, with a net worth of around $160 million.
Curry has also promised to help Henderson with his business model and will provide the right resources to help take his career to the next level. Henderson obviously has plenty of scope off-court as well.

However, the 19-year-old will be delighted with what he can learn basketball-wise, from the Golden State Warriors ace. The first few training sessions have already delivered a surprise. According to Curry’s trainer Brandon Payne, Henderson was left wide-eyed after he saw Curry doing a shooting drill:
“Mr. Curry hadn’t touched a basketball in about 4 weeks and he decided to rattle off 60 in a row in 1 drill & Scoot’s eyes got about this big… I had to keep telling him don’t worry this isn’t normal, this not normal.”
Of course, considering the kind of things Stephen Curry is capable of, the drill sounds perfectly and logically normal.
Scoot Henderson sees Victor Wembenyama as “just another” draft prospect
Henderson is a talented two-way point guard who has plenty of things to learn from Stephen Curry. In the NBA G League, he has averaged 14.7 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in 10 games thus far.
With overall efficiency of 46% and just 25% conversion rate from the 3-point zone, Curry’s company cannot have any bad influence on Henderson. The 19-year-old is expected to be a top-2 or top-3 pick.
What’s more, Henderson is not worried about Victor Wembanyama’s presence in the same draft class. Claiming that he was not going to guard him, Henderson said that Wembanyama was just another draft prospect.
