“FBI informant Was in the Fugees”: ‘Controversial’ Kyrie Irving Sends ‘Woke’ Tweet in Response to Rapper Pras’s Shocking Confession
Kyrie Irving is undeniably a controversial figure. His tussles with the media and NBA fans in the past have all gone viral. Outspoken and usually unapologetic, Irving has even faced ridicule and suspension because of his opinions.
His most recent showdown with Brooklyn Nets over an allegedly anti-semitic post elicited a response even from LeBron James. Irving was subsequently fined and suspended. He later apologized for his mistake but demanded a trade from the Nets soon after.
Now with the Dallas Mavericks, Irving has again, probably, stepped on an ongoing case that is inherently controversial. The case in discussion involves the Fugees rapper Pras.
Irving via his Twitter account, posted a couple of tweets sharing his opinion on the Pras investigation. Kyrie was responding to the rapper’s confession which has been wrongly assumed to be a confession to being an FBI Informant.
Kyrie Irving left wondering after the Fugees rapper’s confession
The 90s hip-hop group Fugees was once one of the most renowned in the industry. Their iconic songs Killing me softly with his song and Ready or Not were immensely popular.
Though not as popular in recent years, the allegations surrounding Pras and his involvement with Presidents of the United States as an alleged Chinese spy have left the world shocked. Now Kyrie Irving has also jumped into the discussion and is accepting the viral rumors that the rapper was an FBI agent.
In two tweets posted today, Irving first wondered how deep the FBI informant system is in relation to Michel Pras’s alleged confession. He then wondered if the FBI had used such informants in the past to ruin revolutionary movements from the inside.
Kyrie: “A whole FBI informant was in the Fugees for that long?? Got me Wondering how many more informants are in Entertainment/Media/Politics silently destroying revolutionary movements from the inside. No matter what I gotta stay Poised and Aware of who I am around.”

He further wrote in his second tweet: “Now I see why Ms. Lauryn Hill and countless others had to retire or disappear from their craft without anyone understanding why. So S’o all of the Revolutionary Elders and Ancestors who saw the writing on the wall and got FREE. We need you more than ever now.”

Michel hasn’t really confessed to being an FBI informant
At this point in time, there is no report that suggests that Michel actually confessed to being an FBI informant. As per Uproxx, the misunderstanding emerged from Rolling Stone’s report that revealed the rapper had met with the FBI several times during the investigation but doesn’t say he confessed to being an informant.
Currently, Michel is facing charges of conspiring with Malaysian businessman Jho Low. He is also accused of being an unregistered Chinese agent. If proven, these charges could land the Fugees rapper a 10-year sentence.
