LeBron James might’ve been a bit more passive than he has been even off-late tonight, but it didn’t matter. All the Lakers around, especially Anthony Davis came out to play tonight. And by the final buzzer of game 3, not only did they have a 2-1 series lead, but also a blowout victory to seriously boost their confidence ahead of game 4. However, apparently, LeBron James does not need any of that motivation. Especially today, there was always going to be a spring in his step. And as he revealed, his son Bronny James’s USC commitment announcement from earlier today had a lot to do with it.

LeBron James reveals he couldn’t be prouder than Bronny James is going to college
LeBron James may be an NBA superstar, but before being that, he is a proud father. For a while now, he had been hyping up his son Bronny James. In fact, as per one of his recent tweets, the young man is even already better than some players in the NBA right now.
Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I’ve been watching on league pass today. Shit lightweight hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Going off this and a lot of other things, many had started assuming that Bronny James wouldn’t be going to college at all, despite all the offers. Instead, some started to believe that he would either go overseas or to the G League to try and develop faster than other prospects in his draft class. However, that was all before Bronny put this Instagram post out today.

This came after multiple months of waiting on the 18-year-old’s decision. So when it came out that he had confirmed that he was going to the University of Southern California, the whole NBA community rejoiced. And it appears that LeBron James was right there with them. Take a look at the tweets by Lakers reporter Harrison Faigen below to check out the King’s thoughts on the happy occasion.
LeBron says today is “one of the best days of his life” to see Bronny commit to USC in his walk-off with @LakersReporter.
“I’m super proud to see someone from my family go to college… He’s the first one to go to college in my family.”

“No matter the outcome of this game, I couldn’t lose today. But I’ll take this cherry on top,” LeBron adds.

A hearty congratulations to Bronny James and his proud family. Going to college is no small deal. And in many ways, it signifies the start of the next chapter in the young man’s journey, one that will no doubt be the most exciting one yet.
