Charles Barkley is another of those who are berating Kyrie Irving for his arrogant statement in calling the media members ‘pawns’.

In an appearance on 92.9 “The Game,” Barkley insisted something just wasn’t quite right with the Nets star:
“I wish somebody would get in his ear. I do think there is something wrong with Kyrie, I truly believe that. I’m not joking right now. I don’t understand what his objective is. Yo man they’re paying you $40 million, you gotta just talk to the press.”
“You can answer the questions you want to, you got to show up and answers questions. I tell all these guys, ‘Man we’re the luckiest dudes in the world. We make millions of dollars just playing a stupid game and part of it is coming on radio shows, talking to the press. They got jobs to do.”
Kyrie Irving has stated that he will be on a “media blackout” this season.

Why Kyrie Irving seems so insufferable to Charles Barkley and others
This isn’t the first time Irving has faced criticism for his ways from Chuck. The ‘Inside the NBA’ host has been on record calling the Nets point guard a ‘miserable person’.

Chess legend Garry Kasparov and former Cavs teammate Kevin Love are some of the others to call Kyrie out for his media misadventures. Love made the express point that calling somebody a ‘pawn’ is disrespectful and he wouldn’t stand for it in any way.
Nets fans and Kyrie fans will be hoping the season gets under way soon so that there is more to talk about than their mercurial point man’s tirades.
