The Boston Celtics are scheduled to meet the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. This will be the official start of their 7 game series. Unlike the Hawks, the Sixers wouldn’t be as easy to defeat. They have an MVP-caliber superstar and one of the most lethal passers in the league. That being said, the Boston side will, fortunately, feature both its top scorers. While Jayson Tatum has not been included in the injury report altogether, Jaylen Brown has been marked as available.

The Celtics need both of these players to ensure a winning chance on Monday. Especially because Joel Embiid and Matisse Thybulle will be leading the defensive charge.
Tatum is an undeniable offensive force. With him on the court, the 76ers will be on their toes throughout the game. Tatum’s presence will be a constant threat. He will not only keep testing Philadelphia’s defense but can also be influential on the defensive end.
Jayson Tatum will suit up on Monday
Fortunately for the Celtics, round 1 hasn’t caused Tatum any physical issues. He seems perfectly fit at the moment and will suit up for the Celtics in the coming game.
The team’s injury report, while not mentioning the 6ft 8″ forward, did include Jaylen Brown. Whenever Jayson Tatum has had a poor night, Brown has come clutch and consistently carried the Celtics to a win.
Even against the 76ers, the combination of Tatum and Brown will be the deciding factor in the game. Tatum is averaging 27.2 points on 53.5% shooting in the current playoffs. In addition, he is also averaging an impressive 10 rebounds per game.
Moreover, Tatum is also capable of landing long-range daggers. Although he made just 1 of his 10 three-pointer attempts in Game 5, he is still averaging 3.5 threes per game in the postseason. This will keep the Philadelphia defense stretched and create more open lanes for drives. Just a proof of how influential Jayson Tatum can be by just being on the court.
Celtics expected lineup against the 76ers
The Boston Celtics lineup will be, in all likelihood, the same as the last game. This rotation has worked out and brought out the best basketball from them. Hard to imagine Joe Mazzulla having any problems with the lineup.
He will start Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart on the backcourt. On the other hand, the frontcourt will feature Al Horford, Derrick White, and Jayson Tatum.
