NBA 2K24’s release is just around the corner, and recently, 2k released some of the player ratings. Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant all got high ratings as usual. But, one player who got a nice boost from 93 to 95 is none other than Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. This makes Butler one of the best players in the game, alongside potential future teammate Damian Lillard who also received the same rating. Understandably, Jimmy is hyped about the rating and took to Instagram to give a hilarious reaction.

Over the years, 2k ratings have caused quite a few arguments in the NBA. Many players have voiced their displeasure over their ratings, especially when they’re surprisingly low. Recently, Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray expressed his frustration over the same. Having been handed an 84 rating, many were shocked along with him. After all, he had just won an NBA Championship and was still given such a disrespectful number.

Jimmy Butler had an incredible 2022-2023 season. Not only did he lead a mediocre Miami Heat team to the Play-In tournament, but they also qualified for the Playoffs, securing the eighth seed. Additionally, Butler raised his game to a whole other level, making the Heat the first Play-In team to ever reach the NBA Finals.
And, although they did fall in the final hurdle, his efforts were not in vain. He has once again made Miami the team to beat in the East, and this has resulted in him getting recognized by the sport’s premier video game, NBA 2k.
With a 95 rating, Jimmy Buckets is one of the best players in the game. And, it’s safe to say he is very happy about the rating. Taking to Instagram, Jimmy shared a video revealing his hilarious reaction to the same. One wherein he suggests that he is so clear of everyone that he “don’t know” them anymore.

Jimmy definitely deserves this NBA rating. He ranks in the top 10, joining the likes of Luka Doncic, Damian Lillard, and Jayson Tatum with a similar rating. And, he stands only behind the likes of LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Durant.

Safe to say, Jimmy Butler is ecstatic about his new rating. However, not everyone is as happy as Jimmy is. As mentioned earlier, Jamal Murray was shocked to learn of his 84 rating, but he wasn’t the only one. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was also bewildered by his rating on NBA 2K24. Expecting a 99 out of 100, Shaq was visibly unimpressed with his rating of 98.
As always, NBA 2K has received mixed reactions with its ratings. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that fans and players alike will be itching to play the game. And, ball out with their favorite players.
