Kendrick Perkins called out Kawhi Leonard for his ‘shady moves’ during his 2019 free agency period in luring Paul George to the LA Clippers.

The OKC Thunder blew up their 2018-19 roster by trading their 2 biggest stars away in the summer. Paul George landed in Los Angeles with the Clippers, while Westbrook went south to the Houston Rockets.
Neither player has had championship success yet, but both have keyed in on LA as their home turfs now. Westbrook is now part of a Big 3 with the Lakers after earning a trade from the Washington Wizards.
The consequences of this trade deal are yet to shake out on the free agent market. The dust is still settling as a number of high-profile free agents are away competing at the Olympics.
Kawhi Leonard throws stones and hides his hands – Kendrick Perkins
In the midst of all this free agent chatter, Ramona Shelbourne dropped a few bombshells in her in-depth article on the factors that led Russell Westbrook to the Lakers.
She used some stories from sources to key in on Kawhi Leonard being responsible for Russ’ initial trade from OKC. According to Shelbourne, Russ recruited Kawhi to try and go play together on the West Coast.
Kawhi seemed to have refused Russ’ calls, but he went ahead and used this information to recruit Paul George. And Kendrick Perkins does not seem happy with this at all, as he expressed on ESPN today:
“I think Kawhi Leonard is a hell of a basketball player. And what he’s accomplished is golden, right? Championships, Finals MVPs, Defensive Player of the Year awards.”
“But here’s the problem I have with Kawhi Leonard. They have this old saying that fits Kawhi – he throws stones and then hides his hands, right? We have been letting him off the hook for too long.”
We all agree that Kawhi is one of the best in the game, but he’s moving funny and we can’t keep letting him get away with throwing stones and hiding his hands! Carry the hell on… pic.twitter.com/jbY9YLzeTo

“He’s a guy that goes under the radar that has been doing sneaky stuff. And just because he’s quiet we don’t address him. We’re looking at this situation between him and Russell Westbrook – this is supposed to be your homie.”
“This is a confidential conversation, you don’t use this conversation or ignore this phone call and go lure Paul George to come to the Clippers!”
