"Kobe Bryant Presented Taylor Swift With a Banner": How The Pop Icon Got Recognition at Staples Center For Incredible Sellout Record From The Black Mamba

Taylor Swift is an immensely popular singer, songwriter, and performer. Her accomplishments in the music industry have been truly impressive.

Swift began her career as a country artist, releasing her self-titled debut album in 2006. She quickly gained a following with hits like Teardrops on My Guitar and Our Song. She’s gone on to become one of the biggest names in music.

Over the course of her career, Swift has released several critically acclaimed albums. Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989 are all considered classics. Her music has won numerous awards, including 12 Grammy Awards, making her one of the most successful female artists of all time.

Swift’s songs often touch on themes of love, heartbreak, and personal growth. She has also become known for her ability to connect with fans on a deeply emotional level.

Kobe Bryant himself raised Taylor Swift’s banner at Staples Center

One of the ways in which her success has been recognized is through the numerous accolades and honors that she has received. This includes a banner at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The banner in question was raised in honor of Taylor Swift’s record-breaking run of sold-out concerts at Staples Center. Over the course of five nights in 2015, Swift played to a total of 76,000 fans, breaking the venue’s previous record for a solo artist held by Madonna.

The greatest Laker of all time, Kobe Bryant himself, was the one to hoist the banner onto the rafters of Staples Center.

However, the LA Kings hockey team, who also call Crypto.com Arena home, covered the banner up during home games in 2019. The following year they proceeded to take it down entirely.

Kobe was a huge Taylor fan

Kobe Bryant, the late basketball legend, was known for his love of music and appreciation for various genres, including pop music. In particular, he was a fan of Taylor Swift and her music, as he revealed in a number of interviews.

In an interview with ESPN in 2016, Bryant expressed his admiration for Swift, saying that he was a big fan of her music and that he had seen her perform live. He also spoke about his appreciation for her songwriting abilities and how he respected her as an artist.

Bryant’s daughter, Gianna, was also a fan of Swift, and the two of them were reportedly planning to attend one of her concerts together before their tragic deaths in 2020.

In a post on Instagram following their passing, Swift expressed her condolences and paid tribute to the family, saying that she was heartbroken by the news.
