Following their 4-0 sweep at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers are out of the Playoffs. It was a disappointing loss, but LeBron James fought till the very end for his team. And, while he did manage to record 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, he missed a potential game-winning shot in the dying minutes of the game. A shot that Kwame Brown believes Kobe Bryant would have made.

Ever since he got to LA in 2018, LeBron has been constantly compared to the Black Mamba. Fans were initially unhappy about his arrival and some still are, citing that it may affect the five-time NBA Champion’s legacy. This has led to The King facing a lot of issues during his time here.
For starters, his every move is being thoroughly analyzed and criticized. And, if it does not live up to the lofty standards set by Kobe, the hate follows. This is exactly the case now after the Lakers crashed out in the Western Conference Finals.

Kwame Brown criticizes LeBron James following Game 4 with Kobe Bryant comparisons
Kwame Brown is widely regarded as the biggest bust in NBA history. Selected with the first overall pick in 2001, Brown was a major disappointment. Over the course of his 11 seasons in the league, he averaged a measly six points, five rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. But, despite his inability to walk the walk, he definitely knows how to talk the talk.
Brown has been quite vocal over the years about the current state of the NBA. And, one player he has brought up on more than one occasion is LeBron James. The former Laker has been quite critical of The King over the years.
Following LA’s recent loss to Denver, Kwame was at it again. In particular, he targeted Bron’s inability to close out a game. Why? Well, toward the end of the game, James had a chance to put the Lakers ahead with a game-winning shot but was unable to get the shot off. This led to Brown stating that Kobe Bryant would have made it.
“Kobe Bryant would’ve probably looked at that thing, rose up for a three and won the game! You can’t say that you’re great. You gotta do great things. That’s where greatness lies.”

Harsh criticism from Brown, especially considering LeBron led the team with 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Nevertheless, his criticism isn’t that surprising. After all, he did once say he preferred his NBA career over The King’s.
Kwame Brown once claimed he prefers his career in the NBA over that of LeBron’s
Over the years, Kwame Brown has said some pretty controversial things. And, many of these takes have to do with LeBron James. But, by far his most bizarre opinion, is that he prefers his NBA career over that of LeBron’s. What is the reason? Well, they take pictures of The King wherever he goes, a bust like him doesn’t have that problem.
Kwame Brown:
“I think it was better being a bust… LeBron can’t do what I do… They take pictures of him everywhere he goes, I was a bust ain’t nobody take pictures of me everywhere I went.”

That is one way to look at it. But, while Kwame has his reasons, he’s probably the only one out there who would pick his own career over one that belongs to a four-time NBA Champion, four-time MVP, and the NBA’s all-time scoring leader. Weird.
