There’s no player in NBA history like LeBron James. What James has been achieving for the past 18 years in the league, is highly commendable and one of the many reasons to term him the GOAT.
He’s only the fourth-oldest player in the league. Despite being 36-years-old, King James has been playing the third-highest minutes per game this season. There is no way the Lakers megastar is slowing down anytime soon.
Usually, at his age, many players call it a career and retire. But, LeBron being the elite player, has been playing on an MVP level while leading the Lakers. When speaking about his own retirement, LeBron has stated how the game will let him now it’s time for him to retire.
Jeanie Buss stated how she anticipated that King James could play for another 10 years. Buss compared how Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played till he was 42-years-old, to LeBron playing till he’s 46-years-old. Buss added:
“We want him to stay around as long as he wants to stay around. LeBron said something the other day about how he probably won’t play when he’s 46. So maybe somewhere between now and 46- so another 10 years? Whatever he wants to do. We’d love having him.”

‘Having a player like James, you gotta use the opportunity to win’: Jessie Buss on LeBron James
LeBron James joined the Lakers in the summer of 2018. After having a terrible first year at Los Angeles, he managed to help the Lakers win their 17th NBA Championship.
Any team who has LeBron James automatically becomes one of the favorites to win the title. Jessie Buss added how the Lakers enjoyed having the King on their squad. She was also mesmerized by his performance at 36-years of age. Jeanie added:
“The way he’s (LeBron James) playing doesn’t seem like he’s 36-years-old. But when you have a player like LeBron James on your team, you gotta go for it. You gotta use the opportunity to win. He knows basketball, he’s competitive. We’re having a lot of fun having him around.”
There is no doubt that with the All-Star duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers are one of the favourites to win the championship. After a well-deserved break, LeBron and the Lakers will continue their season eyeing their back-to-back title.
