Well, this much-anticipated clash is over, and it’s LeBron James who finished it. The Lakers didn’t have the best first half, to say the least. Their opponents jumped out to an early lead and stayed ahead for essentially the whole first half.
But, as things started to look bleak for Lakers fans, the team rallied hard in the third. James and Dennis Schroder came alive making big shots and incredible plays. And as the momentum carried over in the 4th, the franchise won the lead.
From here, it was incredibly back and forth once again between the two teams. And the game perhaps only needed one moment of brilliance, and a bit of luck to end this mouth-watering clash. And boy did it receive.
LeBron James makes an incredible game-winner despite sustaining an eye injury just moments earlier
Deep in the 4th quarter, with under a minute remaining, the game was balanced at 100-100. The King, who had been having an incredible second half, was passed the ball. But he was in trouble.
The player stood on the ‘Staples Center’ logo, deep beyond the arc, and the shot clock was winding down to it’s final second. When James did get the ball, Stephen Curry hurried to close out. However, while he got close to the shot, he didn’t raise his hand up. And let’s just say he went on to regret it.

Yep, he made that. LeBron James did his best impression of Steph Curry, with Steph Curry in his face. With the game decided in their favor, LeBron James and his team will be looking forward to the two days of rest they have been awarded.
Admittedly, the Warriors perhaps deserve the rest just as much. They were sensational throughout the game and often looked like the team that would go on to win. Instead, they now look forward to a clash against the Grizzlies to potentially grab the 8th seed in the Western Conference.
