"Michael Jordan scored 45 points how many times??": Zach LaVine moves to second place behind the GOAT in 45-point games for the Bulls, Twitter is amazed

NBA Twitter was amazed to find out how many more 45-point games Zach LaVine needs to produce in order to pass Michael Jordan for the franchise record.

The Bulls guard produced a gem of a game on Thursday night in a win. He put up a total of 46 points, lighting up the Pelicans with 9 3-pointers. This propelled them to a 129-116 win on the night.

This was LaVine’s 4th 45-point game in his 4th season at Chicago. The 25-year-old is making his best argument yet for an All-Star nod with his performances this season. While the Bulls are still below .500 for the year, they have improved their commitment and play under Billy Donovan.

Bradley Beal gave his props to LaVine for his play after their game earlier this season. Beal himself understands the frustration of not getting recognition, having been snubbed for all awards last season.

Michael Jordan has a staggering 73 games with 45+ points for Chicago

His Airness is undoubtedly the greatest player ever for the Chicago Bulls. Jordan’s scoring dominance at Bulls was like no other guard in NBA History – past or present.

One of the underrated parts about his greatness is the way he broke the trope that NBA titles couldn’t be won without an elite big man. Michael Jordan has 10 scoring titles in 11 full seasons for the Chicago Bulls. On the way, he totaled a staggering 73 games with at least 45 points!

Jordan also holds the record for 40-point games by a guard. He tallied 173 of those in his regular-season career. MJ holds the record in the playoffs with 38. LeBron James is next on this list with 28.
