"Just hand them the ring already!": NBA Fans react to Brooklyn Nets signing free-agent LeMarcus Aldridge

NBA Fans are not reacting particularly well to the Brooklyn Nets adding yet another All-Star to their roster in LaMarcus Aldridge.

When the 2020-21 NBA season started, there was a lot of hype to it. Sure there was a shortened off-season, but we got to see a lot of injured stars make their return to the basketball court.

The Brooklyn Nets looked like new challengers to question the defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, with reliable bench and role players, seemed like they were well suited to trouble the Lakers. They then went on to add James Harden and form a big 3.

Last month, they added Blake Griffin. This made the Nets seem pretty unstoppable. As soon as we thought the Nets were done, they sprung a new surprise on us yesterday, as they signed LeMarcus Aldridge. Aldridge was bought out by the Spurs, after playing with them for six seasons.

NBA Twitter fans react to the news of LeMarcus Aldridge signing with the Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets were looking very strong, as they had a big 3 of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving. They then added Blake Griffin, and suddenly he found his bounce and started dunking again.

With the Aldridge signing, they are pretty much sure to win the ring. NBA fans took note of the same and shared their two cents about the same.

This first fan said what is on all our minds.

Someone else pointed out that the Nets now have a collective 41 All-Star appearances among them, and how they should have no excuses to not win now.

Another fan pointed out how all of this is being done to beat a 36-year-old LeBron.

A fan pointed out that the Nets were like the Avengers.

With all that’s said and done, the Nets now have a very solid roster and are the favorites to win the title. Nothing should stop them from accomplishing the same, and it would be interesting to see what strategies other teams adapt to beat them.
