“Nick Wright really put Luka Doncic over Kevin Durant?”: Warriors star Draymond Green calls out doubters after team USA’s gold winning performance in Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Draymond Green was firing shots all around after team USA won gold at Tokyo 2020. Nick Wright is getting flamed for asinine Luka Doncic-Kevin Durant take.
Team USA had a bumpy start to their campaign in this year’s Olympics. Although they ended their run with a gold medal, initially the team received a lot of backlash from fans.
In fact, most thought this year, the team wouldn’t win any medals, let alone a gold. Well, those theories didn’t pan out quite right as the veteran players in the squad stepped up and led the team graciously.
Warriors forward Draymond Green has always been quite vocal about his thoughts on social media. After bagging the gold medal, Green made sure to call out the people who doubted team USA.
Draymond Green replies back to team USA critics on Twitter
Just a few weeks ago, most NBA analysts and fans already wrote off team USA’s hopes of winning a gold medal this season. It appears that Green made sure to make a note of each and every person who criticized his team. Green started his rampage by tweeting:
“Yooo @OldTakesExposed we need to see everybody who said we couldn’t do it!!”

You can probably see where this is going. Green’s next target was NBA analyst Nick Wright, who openly admitted a few days ago that he doesn’t always roots for team USA in the Olympics. Draymond tweeted:
“Stop talking out the side of your neck!!”

There was a tweet by Jeff Matthews MD, who claimed that team USA is just a bunch of uncoachable superstars. Well…
“Oh God! Anyone doing this job held accountable anymore?”

Anyway, whatever happened is in the past. Currently, team USA players and fans must be celebrating. Hopefully, the team can repeat a similar performance in 2024 Olympics. Until then, basketball fans will have this gold medal to cherish.
