‘No one is like LeBron James, not even Michael Jordan’: NBA analyst explains why Steph Curry has a different legacy than Lakers star or Bulls legend

NBA analyst Raja Bell says that Steph Curry or Michael Jordan cannot be compared to LeBron James as floor raisers.

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has been all over the tabloids ever since he dropped his career high 62 points against the Blazers Sunday night.

What makes it even more impressive is the way in which Curry registered his points. He was all over the court, making shots from beyond the arc and from drives into the paint. It was very noticeable when Steph dug deep into his bag for an all-time performance.

However, the hype surrounding the 3 point sniper has taken a turn and once again deleved into the age old ‘GOAT’ debate.

Raja Bell claims Steph Curry cannot be categorized with LeBron James

There are only a handful of NBA athletes who are present within the GOAT debate. It is a very subjective debate but LeBron James and Michael Jordan are in that upper echelon of NBA legends.

Phoenix Suns role player turned NBA analyst Raja Bell raises an argument regarding LeBron, Jordan, and Curry in the latest edition of the Real Ones podcast. He said,

“Why can’t Curry carry a bad team like LeBron did with the Cavs? Steph can still be a great player but he is not LeBron. No one is like LeBron, not even MJ. Steph’s resume speaks for itself without having it compared to what LeBron has done.”

What LeBron James did in 2018 with the Cleveland Cavaliers perhaps might not be replicated by any other superstar for a long time. The Cavs would’ve been a lottery team in 2018 without James.

Steph, however, he is in a loaded Western Conference as opposed to the much weaker 2018 Eastern Conference. Steph’s ability to grab a top seed this year is much more difficult than what LeBron had to go through.

All in all, the two are very different athletes with their own strengths and weaknesses. There are things Steph can do that LeBron can’t, and vice versa. It is best to leave it at that.
