“Shaquille O’Neal And I Will Slap The Hell Out You”: Charles Barkley Threatens Kenny Smith After He ‘Disrespects’ Ernie Johnson

Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley are usually at war with one another. Whether it was during their playing career when they had their scuffle spill into the stands when with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets or on air on ‘Inside the NBA’, the two are always ready to ‘throw down’ during last night’s airing of NBAonTNT however, it seems as though Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith was on the receiving end of this smoke.

With 12 years having gone by with this iteration of ‘Inside the NBA’, specific roles have been established between the 4 co-hosts. For the most part, Chuck and Shaq are chaotic with their takes, Kenny is the instigator, and Ernie Johnson is the moderator.

Some of the greatest TNT bits that have taken place on national TV have come from these roles being played by them to a ‘T’. Kenny is incredibly underrated as he usually nudges the two Hall-of-Fame big-men into spewing takes that result in the bit being taken to another level altogether in terms of the hilarity factor.

Charles Barkley hilariously threatens Kenny Smith

Charles Barkley has established himself as one of the most entertaining men in sports media by simply being his own unapologetic self all the time. He rarely has a filter when giving his takes and rightfully so as it makes for the best television.

In last night’s broadcast of ‘Inside the NBA’, Chuck hilariously stood up for Ernie Johnson when Kenny disagreed with his take on the Warriors having a comeback. According to the former Rockets guard, the 14-0 run from the Dubs late in the fourth was not a comeback because that’s just something they do on a regular basis.

This prompted Chuck to say, “Kenny this is two nights in a row you’ve talked down to Ernie. We’re not gonna have it around here. Ernie’s a peaceful man. Me and Shaq will slap the hell out of you.”

Charles Barkley was skeptical of Anthony Davis’s play prior to the series

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal shared a similar sentiment when talking about the Los Angeles Lakers-Golden State Warriors series. Both wanted Anthony Davis to dominate on the offensive and defensive end of the floor while being the best player of all the 10 guys out on the hardwood.

Anthony Davis certainly lived up to the hype as he had a game that only Shaq has had in the 21st century in the purple and gold. He dropped 30 points, grabbed 23 boards, and blocked 4 shots to lead the purple and gold down the path of stealing homecourt advantage from the defending champions.
