Shaquille O’Neal is one to remember his roots and he knows the value of money. His children might not. That is why he has implemented a 2-step formula for them to get access to his $400 million fortune.

And being a big philanthropist and a believer in community building. As a result, he often puts his efforts and money into African-American communities everywhere.  Through the Shaquille O’Neal foundation, Shaq aims to help everyone who was once in his position.

This time he wanted to help children. And it could not have come at a better time.

Shaquille O’Neal has given more than $1.1 million to ‘The Boys and Girls club’ in Atlanta

Shaq and Daymond John, the Shark Tank host talk about community building and how he has already invested 1.1 million dollars in the Boys and Girls Club in Atlanta.

According to Shaq, these are the places that he used to live in. He talks about how he is part of the community and he wants to grow it. They didn’t have a Boys and Girls club and Shaq renovated the building.

“A safe haven for kids” as he puts it. And all the proceeds from the charity event held by the Shaquille O’Neal foundation are meant for the club.

Shaq talks about why it is important to cultivate relationships

Shaq talks about wanting to do everything by himself.  He and Daymond talk about partnerships and why having the right people around can help build anything.

Now, Shaquille O’Neal is focused on building partnerships, and relationships, and valuing people’s time. As the wisdom of age hits, Shaq wants to do be good to others.

He also knows that as a big name, he has to give them a good show every time he is asked to appear anywhere. And you will see an earnest effort from his end.
