A short-handed Sixers unit went up against Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls tonight. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, who were ruled out of the All-Star Game due to contact tracing, were not cleared to play tonight as well.
That put the Sixers’ top spot at risk, as the Nets (only 0.5 games behind them) played tonight as well. The Sixers won the contest 127-105. The short-staffed Philly roster rose to the occasion and held the Bulls.
he big men combo of Dwight Howard and Tony Bradley scored a combined 32 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Tobias Harris had a game-high 24 points, whereas Thybulle and Seth Curry added 13 and 12 points respectively. For the Bulls, Lauri Markkanen scored a team-high 23 points, and Zach LaVine added 19 points of his own.
Joel Embiid impressed by the young big Tony Bradley Jr.
Joel Embiid must have been watching the game at home because he certainly was impressed by the performances. He was especially pleased by the 23-year-old center Tony Bradley Jr. The young center was knocking down some tough shots, and went 100% from the field. He also added 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots to his total.
Joel was so impressed by the same, he sent out a tweet asking the Sixers to build a franchise around Tony.
That’s it!!! I’ve seen enough. Build around Tony Bradley @sixers

This obviously would be a flattering comment for anyone, and it was no different for Bradley. He replied to Joel’s tweet, and said,
Lol thanks bro 🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/Brw2aERHvz

The Sixers would look to have their stars back in action as soon as they can. The Nets and Bucks are sure to give the Sixers a run for their money for the top spot, and having the leading MVP candidate back would sure bolster their chances to stay ahead.
