Kobe Bryant was a legendary basketball player who almost always managed his work and life in the best possible way. Before the 41-year-old passed away with his 13-year-old daughter Gigi in a helicopter crash, the former Lakers guard made it a point to describe how proud he was as a girl-dad. Natalia, who was attending Sage High School at the time of the accident in 2020, recently shared one of her dad’s most iconic shots.

A 5-time NBA champ, Bryant was one of his kind when it came to the work the legends of the game have put in to become the best version of themselves. He spent the most time of his life on the basketball court, practicing for hours, both before and after games, as nobody had ever seen anyone else do. Even still, he managed his time so well, that oftentimes, his daughters wouldn’t feel his absence. And in return, they did their best to make their dad proud, even though they were too young to understand it. Natalia, who wasn’t much into basketball, worked with Beyonce this summer.
Natalia Bryant remembers her dad Kobe, sharing one of his most iconic shots
The 2003-04 season was the most turbulent of Kobe Bryant’s basketball career. On the court, he was battling Shaquille O’Neal for being the face of LA. While off it, he was in a legal battle for sexual assault allegations.
Having lost in the 2nd round of the Playoffs in the prior season, Kobe Bryant only had one goal at that time — to win a championship. And the Detroit Pistons stood in their way in the 2004 Finals. And as the Pistons were up 1-0 in the series, Bryant had the most iconic moment of his career until that time. Take a look at it in the YouTube clip below.
Trailing by 3 points in the game, with just over 2 seconds remaining in the game clock, Kobe shot a 3-pointer to tie the game and send it to OT instead of a 0-2 deficit in the series. The Lakers would win that game 99-91.
Natalia recently shared the story of the same on her Instagram.

Natalia’s internship with the legendary Beyonce
We have all seen Beyonce and husband Jay-Z sitting courtside in some of the biggest Lakers’ games despite the latter owing a share in the Brooklyn Nets.
So, you can imagine how largely they appreciated Kobe as a player. His eldest daughter Natalia, who is studying at USC, recently got herself an internship at Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment.
She will be a part of the Renaissance World Tour by the 32-time Grammy Award winner, which started in May and will be going on until September.
Kobe and Gigi would surely be so proud of her if they were here.
