The second ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of New Zealand will be played tomorrow at the Eden Park in Auckland. Coming on the back of a 0-5 drubbing in the T20I series, a comprehensive victory in the first ODI is supposed to have served well for the hosts’ confidence.
A perfect revenge for them would be to won the second ODI tomorrow to gain an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The last time New Zealand and India played an ODI at the Eden Park was during India’s tour of New Zealand in 2014. Opening batsman Martin Guptill’s fifth ODI century has boosted the hosts to 314 in 50 overs. An intriguing 315-run chase saw India tying the match despite an 85-run seventh wicket partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin (65) and Ravindra Jadeja (65*).
Talking specifically about India, their last ODI at the venue was against Zimbabwe during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 when they chased 288 runs on the back of an unbeaten 196-run stand between Suresh Raina (110) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (85).
