Neymar to Barcelona

Neymar to Barcelona: Reports from Spain suggest that the Brazilian star could make a stunning return to his former club.

Barcelona are struggling in the La Liga at the moment. The Catalan club dropped to second place in the league last weekend as they were held to a draw by Valencia. Sevilla have surprisingly taken the lead in the La Liga table.

Barca were benefitted from Real Madrid’s slump in form, but face a tough time in the league themselves.

Barcelona are winless since their last four matches in La Liga, and suffered a stunning defeat to the-then bottom-placed side Leganes last month.

International break couldn’t have come at a better time for the La Liga giants, as players return to start afresh in the domestic season.

In the meantime, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo has broken a stunning news story, which suggests that Barcelona’s former superstar could make a return to the club.

Neymar to Barcelona:

The Brazilian forward left Barcelona last year in a world record transfer fee, amounting to 222 million euros. Neymar starred for PSG in his first season at the club, but Mundo Deportivo reports that he has grown unhappy ever since.

Interestingly, Neymar was linked heavily with a move to Barcelona’s arch-rivals, Real Madrid throughout the summer.

With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian star was seen as his successor for Los Blancos. However, no bid was placed and Neymar insisted that he would stay at PSG.

However, the rumors surrounding his departure from the French capital have begun again. According to Spanish outlet, Neymar feels that the French league is weak. Barcelona board’s stance has reportedly softened on Neymar as well, and they are willing to bring the player back despite the issues they would face in negotiating with PSG.

Recently, it was reported in France that PSG has barred its officials from attending an event at Nou Camp, and have also categorically refused to sell Adrien Rabiot to the Catalan club.

What next?

Barcelona are struggling with form this season and the arrival of Neymar will only boost their attack, more so with the declining form of Luis Suarez. However, it would be hard to convince PSG to sell Neymar, especially after the amount they spent on bringing the player.
