Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth

Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth: Arsenal are handed a huge boost ahead of their return to Premier League action.

Arsenal have been in fine form this season, but suffered a minimal setback in the league this month. Three consecutive draw games have resulted in Arsenal dropping out of top-four, despite being unbeaten since their second league game against Chelsea.

The Gunners’ managing director, Vinai Venkatesham praised Unai Emery’s work ethic but stated that Arsenal needs to finish inside the top-four “at the minimum.”

After a few sloppy performances from the Arsenal defence, the Gunners are also keeping tabs on the transfer market. The injury to Danny Welbeck has also come as a blow to the side and Arsenal’s Head of football Raul Sanllehi admitted to ‘alter’ transfer policy in January to bring replacements.

The side, meanwhile, will take on Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth in the league, who are currently 6th on the table. Unai Emery’s side will look to come back to winning ways, and have been handed a big boost ahead of the game.

Arsenal team news vs Bournemouth:

Arsenal’s two forwards, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have returned to training ahead of the clash at Dean Court.

Both the forwards withdrew from international duties in the break last week due to injuries, but have hit the gym earlier this week.

Aubameyang developed a back problem and pulled out of Gabon’s World Cup qualifier against Mali, while Lacazette sustained a minor groin injury and pulled out hours after being named as the replacement for Anthony Martial.

The return of both the forwards comes as a big boost for Arsenal as Aubameyang and Lacazette have been an important part for the squad this season. While the Gabon striker is the second-best goalscorer in the current league season (7 goals), Lacazette has netted in five league goals, bagging 4 assists.

Metro reports that Laurent Koscielny is also close to returning to full fitness after suffering from Achilles injury last season. “He feels better in each training,” Unai Emery said of Koscielny earlier this month.

The Arsenal manager will interact with media on Friday for the pre-match conference.
